Budapest (HU)

In Budapest, along the river Danube, we have set up a Citizen Mobility Community. Perhaps, you are even part of it or maybe you know it thanks to the CIVITAS SUNRISE project, which is also active in Budapest.
The Hungarian capital is one of our five pilot areas and several things are happening there.

It may seem confusing at first, but we have a Citizen Mobility Lab to experiment with ideas and solutions and a Citizen Mobility Kit to gather useful resources and collect key stakeholder inputs. One complements the other and you can read more about them here.

Citizen Mobility Kit

The Citizen Mobility Kit is essentially a toolkit that combines useful resources: tools, case studies, and best practices to start tackling transportation and mobility challenges in your own neighbourhood. It is also a space for community to discuss and vote on key issues – check out the polling section to see if there is any ongoing debate!

Background

Why is Budapest a pilot area in Cities-4-People? This concise overview can give you some hints concerning the main challenges that characterise the area and the reasons why Cities-4-People could help.

Background information

Citizen Mobility Lab

The Citizen Mobility Lab is a space that the Cities-4-People team opens up to the Citizen Mobility Community and any other person who may be interested to peek in and see what is going on to discuss ideas, co-create solutions to challenges, and prototype concepts. In Budapest it is a pop-up space, moving from place to place as needed. You should look out for the next editions of the DumaPart and see if there is any C4P roadshow coming up.
