After three warm-up events that took place in the area of Trikala during November and December 2017 and the co-creation workshop of January 2018 that fostered interaction with motivated citizens from the local community, a consultation workshop was organised on 13th of February 2018 by e-trikala. The aims of the event were to define the structure, vision and strategy of the Citizen Mobility Community and to lay the foundations for the Citizen Mobility Lab. Therefore, various social groups were invited to attend the workshop and let their voice be heard.
After a brief introduction and quick summary of the project and goals for the city of Trikala, a variety of co-creation tools was used to help stakeholders:
1) visualise the services and purpose that this lab could serve
2) identify any potential challenges that may occur during implementation.
Thanks to the co-creative process, a very constructive discussion took place, in which participants were able to express their vision for their city and agree on what changes need to be made.
The event produced some positive outcomes and contributed to strengthen participants’ sense of belonging to the Mobility Community, leading them to embrace the idea of being actively involved in the development of the Citizen Mobility Lab in Trikala and in the conceptualisation, design and implementation of actual interventions.
