This is the time of Presentation Days! The day during which pilot cities can showcase the work done, the steps and results of their efforts and collaboration with their citizens. In Altona the event was combined with the Hackday.
On 14 August, our local team met its Mobility Community at the Louise-Schroeder public elementary school in Altona.
The Hamburg Presentation Day consisted of a PowerPoint presentation, briefly providing background on the C4P project and the achievements so far in Altona. The participants were first informed about the progress and the outcomes of the pilots as well as about the evaluation of the implemented pilots, i.e. the SharingDay and the new bike racks, and could provide their feedback based on their personal experience. The event was also the opportunity to inform on the status of related projects, more specifically why the Micro Depots pilot could not be realised and the progress and succesful achievements of the spin-off project, Car-free Ottensen. Citizens asked questions throughout the presentation and took part in an informative discussion, telling their experience and expressing their opinions on the pilot implementation.
The presentation of the pilot implementation actions and results fed into the subsequent discussion and co-development of scale-up ideas for the pilots in the Hackday phase.
The Mobility Community was reenergized and consolidated after getting to know about the succesful implementation of the first round of pilots. Overall, people left with greater awareness of the project and our local team ended up having a better understanding of the locals’ perception of the pilots and valuable ideas for improvement and expansion.
