The Cities-4-People team in Üsküdar organised the Quadruple Helix Stakeholders workshop in combination with the Presentation Day.
The event was kicked-off with a presentation held by our local team on the outcomes and impact of the three interventions piloted in the municipality. The presentation enabled a group discussion on lessons learned and challenges encountered by the participants during the pilots. During the second half of the event, an interactive selection process was carried out.
The co-creation activities started with an analyse table, where all pilots were evaluated according to the direct experience of the stakeholders. After the evaluation, an up-voting method was employed to select the pilot to be scaled up. Each participant had 10 points to divide between ideas so that these ideas were ranked according to their total given points.
The final choice was placed on the “I own my garden” intervention. Since other parks in Istanbul face challenges that are similar to the ones tackled in the first piloting phase, the intervention at the Salih Solman Green Area was a perfect testbed to identify transferable good practices.
The group discussion then focused on the selection of the specific area where the pilot could be scaled up into. The group also worked on a number of possible improved pilot ideas to be prototyped in the new pilot area.
By the end of the event, both organisers and participants were extremely satisfied. The event provided a clear direction for all the activities that will be undertaken during the second iteration round.
