2019 has been an intense year for us at Cities-4-People. We have implemented three mobility interventions per pilot area and we have evaluated their outcomes and gathered the lessons learnt. Over the last semester, the pilot partners have engaged in a second round of co-creation events and workshops aimed at prioritizing and identifying the most promising interventions among those tested in their communities, defining clear action plans for their scale up.
In this phase of the project, the emphasis has been placed once again on community involvement. Over the last months we have activate our communities and asked for stakeholders’ feedback: citizens who experienced the pilot have greater insights into what works and what does not. All activities took place alongside citizens and main stakeholders who came together to co-create solutions. Each location organised at least a Presentation Day, a Hack Day, and a Quadruple Helix Stakeholder meeting to identify the interventions to be scaled up. We have now concluded the prototyping phase, during which the pilot areas worked on a mock-up for the selected concept.
