Six peer-reviewed publications have been successfully developed during Cities-4-People lifecycle. Topics like co-creation, people engagement, urban mobility, people-oriented transport and mobility are just a few keywords from the articles produced. Below is an overview of each article.

    • “Contextualising mobility variables” – Luise Noring, Isabel C. G. Fróes, Ditte Tellgren (September 2018): This paper presents how a structured framework to address challenges encountered early in the project (e.g. differences in cultural norms and geographical conditions, comparability and replicability of project results, etc.) sets clear goals to be achieved when co-designing transportation and mobility services.
    • “Driving Factors of Sustainable Transportation: Satisfaction with Mode Choices and Mobility Challenges in Oxfordshire and Hamburg” – Katie Parnell, Kimberly Tatum, Tuba I. Cekic, & Joerg Knieling (June 2019): This paper investigates key factors influencing individual travel behaviours for different travel modes by examining the interactions of mode choice and traveller satisfaction with mobility challenges.
    • “Co-creating sustainable urban planning and mobility interventions in the city of Trikala” – Margarita Angelidou, Eleni Karachaliou, Anastasia Matonaki, Karaberi Christina (October 2019): This paper presents the methodology, results and conclusions for the co-creation of sustainable urban planning and mobility solutions in the city of Trikala.
    • “Co-creation of Local Mobility Solutions: Lessons from the Mobility Lab in Hamburg-Altona” – Kimberly Tatum, Tuba I. Cekic, André Landwehr, Joerg Noennig, Joerg Knieling, Benedikt Schroeter (February 2020): This paper addresses key considerations of public participation and provides a model for considering challenges faced and addressed by Urban Living Labs.
    • “Co-creation Techniques and Tools for planning at neighbourhood level. Experience from four European Research and innovations projects” – Margarita Angelidou, Eleni Karachaliou, Isabel C. G. Fróes, Meia Wippoo (May 2020): This paper presents the learnings emerged from the cluster workshop of the Horizon2020 SUNRISE, MUV, Cities4People and Metamorphosis projects, and specifically the workshop session for the use of co-creation tools and techniques across the four Horizon2020 projects.
    • “Co-creating sustainable urban metabolism towards healthier cities” – Isabel G. Fróes, Malene Køster Lasthein (2020): This article discusses the existing concepts covering sustainable and healthy cities and urban metabolism infrastructure. Examples from Cities-4-People are presented as a case to discuss the role of citizens and local stakeholders in co-creating solutions to improve their cities’ mobility. Furthermore, the project process outcomes are illustrated, leading to a set of guidelines towards achieving healthier cities.
