Three warm-up events were organised in the Municipality of Uskudar to invite different stakeholder groups and raise awareness on the Cities-4-People project. They took place during September, October and November attracting approximately 250 participants.
These warm-up events were important in order to create a first pool of motivated citizens leading to the consultation workshop on the 13th of December 2017. The workshop was attended by a large variety of stakeholders, including citizens and members of the Municipality of Uskudar. The purpose was discussing the future of the Citizen Mobility Community and gathering ideas for the Citizen Mobility Lab.
After a brief introduction about the Cities-4-People project and its vision, a variety of co-creation tools were used to help stakeholders visualise the services and purpose of the local Citizen Mobility Lab. This gave the participants a great opportunity for an open discussion about their views regarding the Lab and how they believe it should be designed. Additionally, it gave an overview of the next steps, motivating further participation.
Despite the challenges of facilitating co-creation among stakeholders with a different background, the workshop was successfully completed. Participants enjoyed the good atmosphere and left very positive comments about the event, expressing their satisfaction for upcoming Lab activities.
