Cities-4-People does not operate in a silo: it is actually part of an ecosystem of mobility projects, including other three neighbourhood mobility ones, namely MUV, Metamorphosis and SUNRISE. All of them are reaching the final year of implementation and it is time to take stock of the outcomes and note the lessons learnt. For this purpose, the European Commission is organising a full-day meeting with all project coordinators and pilot representatives to discuss key issues, such as how the success of the project can be best measured, how outcomes can be scaled up, and what is the value of co-creation. Part of the meeting will be dedicated to analyse in more detail the following topics through the World Café method:
- common challenges in co-creation
- mobility planning for vulnerable user groups
- participation tools to engage citizens and coo-create at neighbourhood level
- evaluating the impact of co-creation
The meeting is planned for November 2019 and we look forward to it because we know we have much to learn from others’ experiences and because it is an important milestone to reflect on what we will have accomplished and what we aim to achieve in the second piloting phase and last months of project.
