After the warm-up activities that took place in the area of Budapest, which attracted a first pool of motivated citizens, a consultation workshop was organised jointly on February, 8th 2018 by the Institute for Transport Sciences Non-Profit LTD (KTI), the Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) and the Municipality of the city of Budapest. The aim of the event was primarily to define the structure, vision and strategy of the Citizen Mobility Community and secondly to define key steps for the creation of the Mobility Lab. The latter is meant to serve the needs of the local community and provide physical space to discuss, co-design and co-create.

29 stakeholders representing the local community attended the workshop and had the opportunity to get a better picture of the Citizen Mobility Lab. They discussed the challenges that were identified in the intervention areas and shared their views and opinions on co-creating the Lab to tackle these challenges together with the Cities-4-People team.

The event was well received and unfolded successfully. Participants were highly motivated and came up with several ideas for the Citizen Mobility Lab as well as suggestions for future actions and activities. Therefore, the Cities-4-People team in Budapest is looking forward to launching the Lab and continuing their journey with the community towards sustainable mobility solutions.
