Üsküdar’s Citizen Mobility Lab is officially open! On the 3rd of May at 3 p.m. (local time) the Municipality of Üsküdar opened the doors of its Lab “Keşfet Üsküdar / Discover Üsküdar” to the citizens. The launch of the Lab involved participants to previous project activities, neighbourhood authorities, representatives of the civil society and experts. The Mayor participated and held an opening speech. The intimate atmosphere made everyone feel at ease and invited questions from the audience. Attendants were curious about the concept of a social lab and listened eagerly to the information provided about upcoming activities.
As a matter of fact, Keşfet Üsküdar / Discover Üsküdar will host weekly workshops: every week a different neighbourhood will be discussed together with local inhabitants and neighbourhood authorities.
The Lab has a cozy atmosphere to make the participants feel welcome: a coffee machine, comfortable seats and support technology (computer, printer, etc.) are the baseline. Moreover, the Lab has movable tables and chairs to allow project stakeholders to easily organise meetings. It also has the necessary tools to enable the implementation of co-creation methods. Posters, leaflets, roll-ups and notebooks with the information on the project and the lab in the local language are available in the space for interested newcomers.
Besides, extra activities in public places will be organised regularly, especially on occasion of national and cultural events. If you look out for the Cities-4-People colours, you will be able to spot our stall with information materials and nice staff ready to answer to all your questions.
