Do you still remember the beginning of last summer? Where were you and what were you doing? We were organising five Presentation Days, one per pilot area. Maybe you attended one of them and you know what we are talking about. Maybe you did not and you wonder what it was. We wanted to have one day to showcase the work done in Cities-4-People and to inform people about the project aims, steps and results in order to attract citizens to join and benefit from their ideas. A special focus lied on the Citizen Mobility Communities and the Citizen Mobility Labs, two of the main project’s assets that had been launched a couple of months before. The event also aimed to give a chance to the local citizens to try some of the co-creation tools we had been using in the project.

Our local teams gave their best to organise a special event: people are the core of this project and we appreciate the time every person puts into it. If you use your time to come to one of our events, we want it to be as good (and productive) as it can be. Eventually, people in Istanbul were invited to take part into a unique ferry trip on the Bosporus. In Trikala stakeholders with various background gathered at the Tsitsanis Museum, a landmark for the city, to discuss sensitive topics, including mobility for people with impairments. In Barton we had a lively day with family activities and contributions by representatives of other initiatives. In Budapest participants let their creativity run free during an intense co-creation workshop. In Hamburg, the bravest ones joined a poetry competition, slamming about mobility. Overall, people left with greater awareness of the project and we ended up having valuable ideas and a better understanding of mobility priorities for the locals.
