If you have followed our blogposts or taken part in the activities of one of our Citizen Mobility Labs, you know what is behind us (if you do not, you can still catch up by reading our third newsletter). The question is: what lies ahead? For sure, it won’t be a calm period for the Labs. In the next six months we will have plenty of work to move from the ideation phase that finished not long ago to the piloting of the selected concepts. What each pilot will entail is not clear yet: our teams in Oxfordshire, Hamburg-Altona, Budapest, Trikala and Istanbul-Üsküdar are busy defining a Pilot Action Plan each with the help of the local Citizen Mobility Communities. What is clear, though, is that in February 2019 we will have fifteen prototypes (three per pilot area) and in March the piloting will start. Exciting, isn’t it? Things will become more concrete, changes will happen and we will be able to see where co-creation can bring us.

This is only the first step in the piloting process because we know it won’t be perfect from the first time. Therefore, we have planned on having a second piloting phase during which we can improve our initial prototypes and test them again, building on the lessons learnt from the first piloting phase. Hence, in the next months we will also activate our Communities again and ask for stakeholders’ feedback: citizens who experience the pilot have greater insights into what works and what does not. We aim to gather qualitative feedback (comments, reactions to the pilots, suggestions for improvement), but we would also like to collect (real-time) data making the most of the Citizen Mobility Kits. Expect some changes to the website, then. Watch out for our news and, why not, if you live in one of the pilot areas, give us input on the pilot implementation!
