Between 30 September and 2 October, the Urban Mobility Days 2020 took place as a fully digital event. About 1,400 policymakers, local authorities, academics, NGOs, urban transport practitioners, urban planners and urban mobility practitioners digitally came together to focus on solutions to make mobility in cities and towns more sustainable.

On Friday 2 October, the four projects Cities-4-People, Sunrise, Metamorphosis, Looper, participated with a dedicated session: “Towards sustainable mobility – one neighbourhood at a time”. The coordinators of the projects were present as main speakers: Karl Reiter (Metamorphosis), Isabel Froes (Cities-4-People), Kristin Tovaas (Sunrise), Imre Keseru (Looper). The session was moderated by Meia Wippoo, lead of the Waag’s Co-creation lab and partner in the Cities-4-People project. The discussion focused on co-creation projects at the neighborhood level, designed to raise awareness about urban mobility challenges and the promotion of sustainable and healthy mobility choices. During the session, the four coordinators presented the objectives and progress of their projects working towards better mobility solutions with people in their neighbourhoods. At the end, the neighbourhood projects presented for the first time their 10 Big Messages for co-creation in mobility and at the neighbourhood level. This set of Big Messages includes the main lessons learnt and recommendations that the 4 projects share and derived from their experiences.
