Six thematic stations for a successful consultation

    By Cities4people | Event, Hamburg-Altona Lab, Past Event | Comments are Closed | 27 February, 2018 | 0

The consultation workshop took place in the area of Hamburg-Altona on February, 10th 2018. Before then, 3 warm-up meetings had been organised between November and December 2017 to attract stakeholders and make them the core of the local Citizen Mobility Community. Those were the ones invited to the consultation workshop together with other inhabitants of the district, of nearby neighbourhoods and of the region. Approximately 60 people attended in the event from various stakeholder groups.

The workshop was structured as an open-house event, where participants could join at any time, without an official start. What they had to do was to follow a path with six different stations, each focusing on a specific issue:

    1. Information about the project
    2. Interactive mini survey
    3. Maps of the intervention area with challenges and best practices
    4. Ambition ranking of mobility challenges
    5. Ideas for better mobility (Story Puzzle)
    6. Collection of ideas for the Citizen Mobility Lab.

The six stations led to engaged discussions within smaller groups, and enabled participants to spend most of their time at the station they were most interested in.

Overall the event represented an excellent chance to get a better understanding of the different groups that are active in the area and keen to cooperate and be part of the Citizen Mobility Lab. Moreover, it was a great opportunity for constructive discussions with local citizens. Participants gave a positive feedback and expressed their desire to be involved in the next project events. We are excited to see what will happen in the next months in Hamburg-Altona!
