The CIVITAS Forum 2019 is approaching and this year we are going to have our personal stand in the exhibition space of Europe’s top sustainable urban mobility event. This will be the opportunity to display as much as possible of the great work that has been carried out during the project until now. You can find us on 2 – 4 October in Graz and you will have the chance to meet and talk with pilot representatives at the stand.
This year is the Forum’s 17th edition. During the 3-days event, over 400 participants will come together to discuss key issues, share and learn from each other’s challenges and solutions, build partnership and learn more about sustainable mobility innovation in action. Under the slogan “Back to the future”, the interplay between new technology and classic mobility solutions in the present day will be the focal topic of the Forum.
During a thematic session on neighbourhood-level mobility planning, our pilot areas Oxford and Üsküdar will present their experience with inclusive community engagement. As one of the CIVITAS “neighbourhood projects”, C4P is well placed to provide empirical evidence about this topic. Oxford will present the valuable outcomes of the new commercial Demand Responsive Transport service addressing the key mobility challenges faced by residents in Barton, along with opportunities and challenges connected to the app-based booking system. Along a similar line, Üsküdar will bring its notable experience presenting the solutions developed to tackle infrastructure challenges, to support disabled people and encourage best possible pedestrian road options.
Our sister projects will also attend the event. MUV, Metamorphosis, SUNRISE and the Urban mobility Lab Aspern will be present to bring their relevant experiences and best practices.
What to say, we foresee exciting and fruitful days at the Forum. Check out all the presentation sessions here and come and meet us in Graz!
