On 9 September, our local team in Üsküdar organised the Presentation Day at the Discover Üsküdar Office in the Municipality of Üsküdar. The location was already known by the community since it hosted the Citizen Mobility Lab during the first iteration of the mobility concept development. Holding the Presentation Day in the same location was the opportunity to reenergize the community and keep the Citizen Mobility Lab lively. The Presentation Day immediately preceded and was combined with the Quadruple Helix Stakeholders Workshop.
The goal of the Presentation Day was to inform the community and other stakeholders about the outcomes, lessons learned, and implementation challenges of the 3 pilot interventions. Inclusion was focal in the mobility interventions in Üsküdar, where C4P has installed benches along steep roads, adapted the street infrastructure for visually impaired people and improved pathways and lightning in public green areas.
The event was kicked off with introductions and tea. The team chose then to engage the participants by means of a presentation and co-creation activities. By means of a PowerPoint presentation, the outcomes of the pilots where explained. This allowed the pilots to be presented with the aid of photographs taken at the pilot areas, maps used, interview results, and other visualizations. Participants were then challenged to evaluate the potential of each of these pilots for scale-up in group discussion.
At the end, the Mobility Community reported that they enjoyed learning more about the pilots that they had previously observed or participated in and everyone appreciated being actively involved in discussing the improvements of the interventions.
