    Towards scaling-up interventions

    By Cities4people | Event, News, Upcoming Event | Comments are Closed | 7 December, 2019 | 0

Cities-4-People has entered its last semester and all efforts are now concentrated on improving and expanding selected mobility interventions in each pilot area. Which solutions have been selected by the different locations?

Budapest will further support shared sustainable mobility, introducing more Mobility Points in different locations around the city to best meet the needs of the community. In Hamburg, new special bike racks are being designed to host cargo bikes. Oxford plans to scale up free demand-responsive trips to the supermarket, incorporating other communities into a single ride and identifying new routes. In Trikala, the scale up will target users with mobility impairments, increasing the number of motorized wheelchairs and conceptualising new options such as wider coverage and more days rental. Finally, Üsküdar is targeting new public green areas, where new pathways will be developed and electric cars will be introduced to allow people with disabilities to also benefit from these pathways.

Watch out for our news and, why not, if you live in one of the pilot areas, give us input on the scale-up implementation!
